Mix Presents Sound For Film 2016
Mix Magazine has an article on 13 films they think should be in consideration for sound editorial and mixing nominations, and I was fortunate enough to work on 3 of them.
MPSE Golden Reel Nomination
"A Faster Horse" has been nominated for a 2016 MPSE Golden Reel award. It's my first MPSE nomination. I'm very grateful for the honor and recognition the sound crew has received. It was the most sound intensive documentary I've been a part of, and a lot of fun to work on.
"Straight Outta Compton" & "The Revenant", two other films I was a part of this year also received Golden Reel nominations. I feel very fortunate to have worked with, and for so many talented people.

"The Revenant" has been nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFTA award for both sound editorial and sound mixing. I only played a small part on the crew as an assistant, but am grateful to have been a part of the team, and am happy for everyone who worked so hard on the film. They did a fantastic job, and the film sounds amazing!
